Workout because you love your body

Over the past few months I’ve discovered a renewed love for fitness.

Growing up and throughout high school I played sports regularly so I was a pretty active kid. In high school I worked out on the days I didn’t have sports practice or games. Then something happened, I started college and got a job and life got busy so there went my healthy lifestyle – I know I’m not the only one out there.

Ten years later and I’ve rediscovered fitness and health. I stepped foot inside a gym for the first time ever in my life about ten months ago and there’s been no turning back.

I’ve learned a little over these few months, what works for me, what doesn’t, what I love and what I hate – Zumba (it’s just not for me).

Every now and then I’d love to share my workouts for the week and my thoughts with you all. Don’t be fooled though, I do have my lazy weeks and that’s ok. Never do I guilt myself for not exercising.

Last week was a good week for me –

Weekly Workout Schedule 7.6.15 - 7.12.15

Monday – Total Body Sculpt is a 45 minute class at my local gym focused on overall toning. It’s usually the same instructor every week but this time another trainer covered for her and oh my goodness did I wake up with sore shoulders the next day! Sometimes it’s good to workout with a different instructor, it changes things up a bit!

Tuesday – Rest Day

Wednesday – 21 Day Fix workout in the morning and a spin class at my local gym after work. I love love love spin. Seriously I don’t think I can express enough how much I love spin. It’s a 45 minute class but don’t be fooled it kicks butt!

Thursday – 21 Day Fix Lower Body

Friday – 21 Day Fix Pilates may sound like it’s easy but it is definitely not!

Saturday – Woke up early before all my usual weekend running around to get this workout in.

Sunday – Rest days are always needed

I’m new to this 21 Day Fix craze so I’ll hold my thoughts until I’ve actually completed a full 21 days straight of it. Right now I’m just mixing in the workouts to my usual exercise routine.
