Let me start by saying, I’m not trying to offend anyone or be rude. I think seeing the videos all over my Facebook and Instagram feeds is great. The #IceBucketChallenge has brought awareness to this disease. People who have never donated to the cause before are donating now (myself included) and doing their research to learn more about it.
However, is pouring a bucket of ice over your head truly helping those with ALS?

So instead I have chosen to donate and I challenge you to forgo the #icebucketchallenge and donate as well. After all, can’t we find a better use for our water supply?
If you have participated in the challenge AND donated then kudos to you!! I know some who have done the challenge and not donated. That doesn’t sit well with me.
